To add friends on Street Fighter 5, just go to the Battle Lounge, create a lobby, and invite your friends using their Fighter ID or PSN/Xbox Live Gamertag. Easy peasy!

Forget searching for Fighter IDs, just use your gaming platform's own friend invite system. Less hassle, same result!

You can invite friends by first adding their Fighter ID to your Favorites. Then create a lounge, and invite them direct from your list. Don't forget to set the lounge to 'Friends Only' for some private sparring!

Joining a Battle Lounge and using the Fighter ID to invite friends has worked for me every time. You can find their Fighter ID in the Capcom Fighters Network (CFN) menu. Happy fighting!
