Just use the game's built-in Social Club, dude. Anything else is overcomplicating it.
Adding friends in GTA is pretty straightforward if you're playing online. On consoles, it's usually about adding them through your PlayStation Network or Xbox Live account. Just pop into the friends section of your console's dashboard, search for their gamer tag, and send them a friend request. Once they accept, you'll see them in-game. For PC, it's similar but through the Rockstar Games Social Club. You send a friend request through the Social Club, and voila, you're ready to cause chaos together in Los Santos!
Honestly, why add anyone? Solo play is where it's at in GTA.
