Honestly, just drag and drop folks. Stardew ain't rocket science, but you do need the right rod. Can't do much with the starter Bamboo Pole - upgrade to Fiberglass or better, and you're golden. Or should I say, fishin'.
To attach bait to a fishing rod in Stardew Valley on PS4, first, make sure you've got the Fiberglass Rod or a better one since the Bamboo Pole can't use bait.
