Just get the Fiberglass Rod, open up your inventory, grab the bait with X and slap it onto the rod with Square. It's like magic, but you know, with more fish.

Honestly, just drag and drop folks. Stardew ain't rocket science, but you do need the right rod. Can't do much with the starter Bamboo Pole - upgrade to Fiberglass or better, and you're golden. Or should I say, fishin'.

To attach bait to a fishing rod in Stardew Valley on PS4, first, make sure you've got the Fiberglass Rod or a better one since the Bamboo Pole can't use bait. Open your inventory, select the bait, press X to pick it up, then move the cursor over to your rod and press Square to attach it. Happy fishing!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
