If you don't have Google Drive set up, you can export chats. Just open the chat, tap the 3 dots, then 'More', and 'Export chat'.
Honestly, just sync with Google Drive. It's simple and efficient.
I do this all the time! Make sure you have the WhatsApp app on your phone, then back up to Google Drive from there. Chromebook will sync it automatically!
