Gotta say, not a fan of the Truffle's high maintenance living standards. Why can't he just live in a regular house like everyone else?
To get the Truffle to move in, build his house in a surface Mushroom biome. It doesn't have to be big, just the standard NPC house size, but it MUST be on or above the surface level. Use lots of mushroom-themed materials to build and furnish it. Once done, and if you've already defeated the Wall of Flesh, the Truffle NPC should be happy to move in!
I built my Truffle House with blue mushroom walls and it looked awesome! Plus, the Truffle moved in right away after I made sure the house was in a Surface Mushroom Biome and had mushroom furniture. It's a fun little project and adds a cool looking building to your world.
Building a Truffle House in Terraria is pretty straightforward but has its requirements! First, you gotta make sure you're building in a Mushroom Biome - above ground. Your Truffle House needs to be built from mushroom-themed blocks and furniture to make it suitable. Think Mushroom Walls and Mushroom Platforms for starters. And remember, the Truffle NPC will only move in once you've defeated the Wall of Flesh and have an empty house ready for him in that glorious, glowing Mushroom Biome.
