Actually, buying properties like businesses is where it's at in GTA 5 story mode. I bought a hangar for Trevor and it was cool seeing those extra missions and cash flow come in. You can't buy houses per se, but these investments kinda feel like home!

Getting a crib in GTA 5's story mode isn't as straightforward as it is online, cuz you can't just buy any pad you see. Mostly, the houses or garages you get come from progressing through the story. Michael, Franklin, and Trevor each get their own digs as you play. But hey, if you're itching to spend that virtual cash, dive into the stock market in the game or snatch up some businesses and properties like stores or car garages that actually do make you money!
Nah, you can't really buy houses like in GTA Online. What you get is what the story gives you. Spend that money on cars and guns instead.
