It's pretty straightforward: look at your weapon's damage stat and multiply it by its firing rate. If it does 25 damage and fires 3 times per second, then it's 25 x 3 = 75 DPS. Happy space adventuring!
From experience, the best way is to test it in actual combat. Practice makes perfect, and you'll get a feel for which weapons melt enemies faster!
Easy! Just take the weapon's damage and divide it by its rate of fire. For example, if your laser gun does 30 damage and fires 2 shots per second, that's 30 damage x 2 shots = 60 DPS. Now go pew-pew with confidence!
