Catching a Bonefish in Terraria is pretty straightforward but requires some patience. You'll need a fishing pole and some bait. Head over to any body of water in the Cavern layers. The Bonefish is a quest fish, so make sure the Angler has requested it before you start fishing. Just cast your line into the water and wait for a bite. It might take a few tries, but keep at it, and you'll snag a Bonefish in no time!

Just go fish in the Caverns, lol. Make sure the Angler wants it first, though.

From personal experience, the best time to catch a Bonefish is during in-game nighttime. Something about the dark makes those skelly fish more likely to bite. Also, stock up on plenty of bait because it might take several attempts before you catch one. Happy fishing!
