Shad? Easy peasy! Fish in the river when it's raining. Spring, Summer, Fall - doesn't matter. Got my biggest haul in Summer, though.

Honestly, why bother with Shad? There are far better fish to catch in Stardew that don't need you to pray for rain.

Pro tip: Boost your fishing skill and use bait. Makes catching Shad (or any fish, really) a lot easier. Caught my first Shad during a storm in Spring, and it was a game changer for my fish collection.

Catching Shad in Stardew Valley is pretty straightforward but needs a bit of timing. You'll find Shad when it's raining. Head over to the River (either in town or near the mountain) during Spring, Summer, or Fall. It's available all day, so no need to worry about the time. Just make sure you've got your fishing rod ready, and patience set to 'max' because it might take a few tries!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
