Click the spell's icon to bring up the targeting reticule, then hold down the right mouse button and drag to adjust the direction. It's like painting with fire... or lightning!

From my experience, you need to right-click and drag the spell's targeting icon to adjust the direction before casting. Happy zapping!

Select the caster, choose the spell, and then hold the right mouse button and drag to aim it where you want. Release to cast.
