You can change the field of view by pressing F3 to open the debug menu, then pressing F8 to activate the cursor, and finally unchecking the 'Disable Console' option. Then, press Enter to open the console and type in 'fov [value]' (without quotes) where [value] is your desired FOV.

Super simple! Just go to the options menu, find the graphics settings, and adjust the FOV slider to your preference.

From personal experience, changing the FOV really improved my gameplay. Just hit F3 and F8, uncheck 'Disable Console,' and enter 'fov [value]'. You'll wonder how you played without it!
