Log into PayPal, go to 'Settings' (the gear icon), find 'Payments', and then click on ‘Manage Automatic Payments’ to change the default method.
Just go to your PayPal account > Wallet > Tap the card/bank you want as default > Make Primary. Simple as that.
From personal experience: Open PayPal on your phone, tap 'Settings' > 'Payments' > 'Manage Funds', and select your preferred payment method. Done in a jiffy!
