Can't directly through the game, nope. But if you're not shy about a little file editing, you can change your pet's name in the save file. Just remember: always make a backup before you start messing around!

Changing your pet's name in Stardew Valley isn't something you can do through the regular game menus. If you're really committed to giving your furry friend a new identity, you'll need to dive into the game files. Specifically, you'll edit the 'save file' in your game's directory. Just make sure to back up your save file before you start tweaking anything, to avoid any heartache over lost progress!

Honestly, just stick with the name you chose. It adds character to your playthrough!

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
