I play on PS4 and found you switch to cockpit view by pressing R3 (right stick). Way more immersive!

On PC, press 'F1' to toggle cockpit view. Console users, consult your control mappings; it's typically one of the click sticks.

I prefer third-person view, but if you want cockpit, it's 'V' on PC.

If you're on PC, just hit the 'C' key to switch to cockpit view while flying. For consoles, check your controller settings; it's usually mapped to one of the thumbsticks.
