Just go to the Xbox console settings, select Account, then Subscriptions. You'll see options to upgrade or downgrade your plan! Simple as that.

Log in to your Microsoft account online, find your Xbox Live subscription under Services & Subscriptions, and click 'Manage'. You can change your plan easily from there.
