To change your Apex Legends name on PS4, you'll actually need to change your PSN (PlayStation Network) ID, as Apex Legends uses that as your in-game name. Head over to your PS4 settings, go to [Account Management] > [Account Information] > [Profile] > [Online ID], and enter your new name. Be careful though, the first change is free but after that, Sony charges a fee.
