You really have to edit the save files directly! It’s in the AppData\Local\UNDERTALE folder. Be careful and back up your files!

To change your name in Undertale on Windows, you need to edit the 'file0' and 'file9' in your game's save data folder. Just open them with a text editor and modify the name. Don't forget to back up your saves first!

Simply change the name in the 'file0' and 'file9' within the game’s save directory. Use a text editor and you're good to go. Make sure to back up first!

Here's the scoop: Open your save data folder in C:\Users\[Your Name]\AppData\Local\UNDERTALE. Locate 'file0' and 'file9', then edit those bad boys with a text editor to change your name. Done!
