I had to delete my account to update my age. It was a bummer to lose all the matches, but it worked! So, if you don't mind restarting, give it a go.
The easiest way to change your age on Tinder is to update your age on your Facebook profile connected to Tinder. Once it's updated, your Tinder age should update automatically. If you don't use Facebook, or that doesn't work, you may need to delete your account and create a new one with the correct age. Just be aware that deleting your account means losing all your matches and messages!
