Just go to the game settings, find controls, and rebind the zoom key. Takes like 2 minutes!
From my experience, the easiest way is to navigate to 'Controls' in the main menu, find 'Common' settings, and assign the zoom function to a key that suits your style.
Go into 'Controls' settings, look under 'Common' tab, and there you can change the zoom controls to whatever you like. Easy peasy!
