Actually, it's all about the little symbol! First edition Pokemon cards have a tiny '1 Edition' stamp below the picture of the Pokemon. If it ain't there, it ain't first edition. Simple as that!

Honestly, not all that glitters is gold. Just because a card lacks the first edition mark doesn't mean it's not valuable. Some non-first edition cards are super rare and sought after. Always check the rarity symbol and do your homework before jumping to conclusions.

Easy peasy! Just look for the 'Edition 1' symbol on your Pokemon cards, which is usually located directly below the card's image on the left side. It's a small, rounded symbol that says '1 edition' or '1st Edition'. If you see it, congrats, you've got a first edition on your hands! Remember, not all sets include first edition cards, so don't be bummed if you can't find any in newer collections.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
