In Bedwars, once you join a game, there should be a team selector or team assignments, usually on the right side of the screen. Just pick your preferred team color before the game starts!

From my experience, you can't really choose your team directly in Bedwars. The game mostly auto-assigns you. But hey, it's fun to play with random teammates too!
Honestly, the game's matchmaking usually sorts that out for you. Just wait for the game to start and you'll be auto-assigned a team.
