Avoid opening the console yourself unless you're comfortable with potentially voiding the warranty. Stick to the exterior cleaning methods.

First, unplug your Xbox One and wipe it down with a microfiber cloth to get rid of dust and fingerprints. You can use compressed air to blow out dust from the vents, but keep the can upright to avoid spraying moisture. For extra grime, a slightly damp cloth (without dripping water) works wonders.

I use a small vacuum cleaner to get dust out of vents and a soft, dry cloth for the surface. Works like a charm!

When my Xbox One gets dusty, I gently use a soft-bristle brush to clear out the vents and ports. It's surprisingly effective!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
