Just use a soft brush or air to blow off any dust, and maybe a microfiber cloth for smudges. Keep it simple to avoid damage.

Cleaning Pokemon cards before grading is all about being gentle and effective. Start by using a soft, clean microfiber cloth to gently wipe away any surface dirt or fingerprints. If there are stubborn spots, you might use a little bit of distilled water on the cloth, but never apply liquid directly to the card. Make sure the card is completely dry before you send it off for grading. Also, avoid using any chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the card.

Honestly, less is more. I tried cleaning one of my rare cards with a slightly damp cloth and it got water damage. Just a soft, dry cloth or even better, leave it to the professionals.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
