To clear Words With Friends data on your phone, go to Settings > Apps > Words With Friends > Storage > Clear Data. Be warned, this will reset your game!

Actually, the best way is to delete the app and reinstall it. Quick and easy.

If you're using Words With Friends on Facebook, simply log out of your account and log back in. This should refresh your data.

From personal experience, just clear the cache in the app settings. Your progress stays, but it solves most issues!
