How to combine rooms in Fallout Shelter
Combining rooms in Fallout Shelter is pretty easy but super important for an efficient vault. Just make sure you build two or three rooms of the same type next to each other without any rocks or walls in between. They'll automatically merge into a bigger version of that room, which can hold more Dwellers and be more efficient. Also, remember all rooms you want to combine have to be on the same level of upgrade!

Just build them next to each other, no rocks or walls between, and BAM! They combine. Simple as that.
Actually, it's not just about placing them next to each other. You need to make sure they are of the same level too. I tried combining a level 1 and level 2 diner and guess what? It didn't work. Upgrade them to the same level first, then they'll merge.
I don't get the hype with combining rooms. Sure, it looks cool and all, but it's a resource sink. Sometimes smaller, separate rooms are easier to manage and cheaper to upgrade. Just my two cents.
