How to connect a controller to Terraria on PC
Getting a controller hooked up to play Terraria on your PC is pretty straightforward! Most times, it's a plug-and-play deal if you're using a USB controller. For wireless controllers, you'll need to connect through Bluetooth. Once it's connected, Terraria should recognize it automatically. Just make sure in the game's settings, under 'Controls,' that you have the 'Use Gamepad' option turned on. Enjoy!

Honestly, just plug it in. Terraria's pretty good at picking up on controllers. If it's not working, check your drivers and make sure they're up to date!
No way, keyboard and mouse is the ONLY way to play Terraria. Controllers are just a hassle.
Had a bit of a fight with my controller and Terraria, but finally got it working. If you're using an off-brand controller, you might need to use a program like JoyToKey to map the buttons manually. It's a bit of extra work, but once you're set, it's smooth sailing. And totally worth it to chill on the couch while playing!
