Unfortunately, you can't connect an Xbox One controller to a Switch without an adapter. Nintendo and Microsoft just don't play nicely without a middleman!

I've tried it myself, and nope, it won't work without an adapter. Gotta stick with official Nintendo controllers or get that adapter!

Short answer: You can't. The Xbox One controller and Switch aren't compatible without an adapter.
