Nope, most laptops only output HDMI, so you'll need a capture card to display your Xbox Series X on it.
I've done this! You need to get a capture card like the Elgato HD60 S. Connect the Xbox to the capture card, and the capture card to your laptop via USB. Then use software like OBS to display the Xbox output on your laptop screen. Works like a charm!
You can't directly connect your Xbox Series X to a laptop with HDMI because most laptops have HDMI-out, not HDMI-in. You'd need a capture card for that.
