I've tried everything to copy chat directly in Valorant for my team's strats, but no dice. Ended up just using my phone to snap pics of the screen for the most crucial bits. Not the most high-tech solution, but it works.
Copying chat in Valorant isn't a built-in feature, unfortunately. But, if you're really needing to save something important from the chat, a quick workaround is using the old-school method: press 'Print Screen' on your keyboard to take a screenshot of your screen. Then, you can paste it into any paint program or a document. Not as sleek as a copy-paste function, but it gets the job done!
