You can't delete just an Xbox Live account; you have to close your entire Microsoft account. Head over to account.microsoft.com, sign in, and select 'Your info.' From there, hit 'Manage your Microsoft account' and then 'Close account.' Follow the instructions, and that'll do it!

Unfortunately, you can't delete just an Xbox Live account— you'll need to close your whole Microsoft account. Go to account.microsoft.com, sign in, and follow the instructions for closing your account.

Hot take: Just stop using it. Deleting can be a hassle, so removing payment info and letting it sit dormant might be a better move.
