Just hit ESC, go to Options, then in the Interface tab, you can toggle the HUD on or off!

You really don't want to disable the HUD. Trust me, it's a bad idea.

From my experience, you can also bind a specific key for toggling the HUD through the Controls settings under the Miscellaneous section.

Press F10 during a match to quickly disable the HUD. Press again to re-enable. Easy peasy!
