You can enable VRS in Starfield by going into the graphics settings of the game and switching it on from there. Improves performance like a charm!

You don't actually need VRS to enjoy the game. The devs did a great job optimizing it.

Easy peasy! Just head to the settings menu in Starfield, find the graphics options, and toggle Variable Rate Shading (VRS) to on.
