From the main lobby screen, tap on the 'Loadout' tab at the bottom. There, you can choose and equip your favorite weapons and skins.

Easy peasy! Just go to your 'Inventory' while in the lobby, select the weapon you want, and press 'Equip'. You're good to go!

You don't equip weapons in the lobby. You pick them up during the game. Just make sure to customize your loadout!
