Honestly, just hit the pause menu and select 'Exit Game.' It's crazy how straightforward it is!
Alt+F4 works too if you're on PC and feeling rebellious.
Just pause the game and select 'Exit to Title' from the menu. Then choose 'Exit Game' to leave entirely. Easy peasy!
