How to Feed Chickens in Winter in Stardew Valley
Easy peasy! Just stock up on hay. You can cut grass from your farm with a scythe during the other seasons and store it in your silo. Once winter hits and the grass is all gone, your animals can't graze outside, so you've gotta feed them hay. Just grab the hay from your silo and place it on the feeding bench in your chicken coop. Your feathered friends will thank you!

Winter feeding hack: Upgrade to a Deluxe Coop ASAP. It comes with an auto-feed system, so you never have to worry about manually feeding your chickens again. Best investment ever for lazy farmers like me.
Remember, no grass means no free food! Make sure you have a silo or two filled with hay before winter starts. You can buy hay from Marnie's Ranch if you run out, but it's cheaper to plan ahead and harvest your own during spring, summer, and fall.
Just let them starve, jk! Seriously, don't forget to feed your chickens in winter, or you'll have some unhappy cluckers. Hay all the way, people!
