Amethyst? Oh, that's easy peasy if you're not afraid of a little cave diving. Start at level 40 and don't stop till you hit 79. The deeper you go, the better your chances. Also, check the traveling cart near the forest every Friday and Sunday. Sometimes the lady sells amethyst. That's how I got my first one without breaking a sweat!
