The merchant (Haldor) usually spawns in the Black Forest biome. Just keep exploring until you see a bag icon pop up on your map. Happy hunting, Viking!

I spent hours wandering the Black Forest before I found him. He often spawns in random locations, but you’ll know you're close when you see the big, glowing shield around his camp.

I found Haldor after defeating the Elder boss. He’s easy to spot because of the runestones and the blue forcefield around his camp. Keep that map open!
