Try using a Lanzo or Tulok fishing spear near deep water in the Plains of Eidolon. Murkray likes those areas.

Don't bother with all the fancy bait and spears, just go fishing at the coast during nighttime.

I found plenty of Murkray by sticking to the watery areas west of Gara Toht Lake, especially using Murkray bait. Trust me, it works!

Head to the Plains of Eidolon and fish at night near the ocean. Murkray Bait from Fisher Hai-Luk makes it easier!
