Honestly, I just uninstalled and reinstalled the game. A bit extreme, but it worked for me!
For me, changing the game鈥檚 compatibility mode to Windows 8 solved the black screen issue. Right-click the game exe, hit 'Properties', then 'Compatibility'. Give it a shot!
