First up, try restoring a previous save if you've got backups. Terraria automatically backs up characters and worlds now and then. Look in the Terraria folders in your 'My Documents/My Games' directory for anything with '.bak'. If you find a backup, just remove the '.bak' extension and replace the corrupt file. Magic!

Gonna hit you with a truth bomb鈥攕ometimes you just gotta let go. If fixes don't work and you've lost a character, treat it as a hard lesson in backup importance. Start anew, build something even better, and remember to back up your saves regularly!

No backups? No problem. There's a tool called 'Terraria Save Editor' that can sometimes fix corrupt characters鈥攐r at least let you salvage some of their gear. It's a bit like playing surgeon with your save files, so proceed with caution and always make backups before you start fiddling.

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
