You can try recalibrating your controller through the Xbox Accessories app. It helped with my stick drift issue!
Some people have luck with using isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab to clean around the base of the thumbstick. Worth a shot!
First, try cleaning around the stick with some compressed air to clear out any debris. If that doesn't work, you might need to open it up and replace the potentiometer, but beware, it voids the warranty!
Just get a new controller. Trust me, it's way less hassle!
