Make sure you jump from the plane when it's as close as possible to your desired location. Then, immediately tilt your joystick upwards to glide further! It helps to point your camera slightly down as well. Happy flying! ;)

Use your parachute wisely! Open it early and tilt your joystick forward to glide further. Just don't end up stuck in a tree!

Jump at the far edge of the map and glide towards the middle. I consistently cover more distance like that.
