Flying the Hydra in GTA San Andreas on the PS2 is like trying to pat your head and rub your belly at the same time, but once you get it, you're golden! First, get in the Hydra and take off by pressing the triangle button. Then, to lift off, you'll need to push the right analog stick forward to start moving. Once you're moving, change the jet's mode from hover to flying mode by pressing the right analog stick. This changes the direction of the thrusters and lets you fly forwards. Use the left analog stick to steer, L2 and R2 to turn left and right, and X to speed up. Circle lets you slow down if you need it. Practice makes perfect!

IDK why everyone makes a big deal about this, just press buttons till it flies lol.
Just hit the triangle to jump in, and then mash the X button to go super fast. Remember, right stick is your best friend to switch between hover and flying. If you crash, just remember: it's not the game, it's you. Good luck!
