Getting a black lens in Terraria is all about patience and a bit of luck! You need to defeat Demon Eyes or Wandering Eyes at night. These are the only mobs that drop Black Lenses, but the drop rate is pretty low, about 1%. So, grab your weapons and go on a nightly hunting spree. It might take a while, but keep at it!

Just farm Demon Eyes during a new moon! Better drop rates, I swear. I farmed mine during a new moon night and got it faster.

Honestly, it's all RNG. Keep killing those Demon Eyes and you'll get it eventually. Took me forever, but it's worth it for those cool optics crafts.
