How to get a weapon in Stardew Valley

Once you're there, Marlon will greet you and gift you your very first weapon, a Rusty Sword. It's not the strongest, but it's a start for slashing those pesky slimes!

Just use whatever u find, honestly. The swords are all kinda the same until you get the Galaxy Sword. Now that's a game changer.
Quick tip: if you're looking to upgrade from that Rusty Sword, keep exploring the Mines. The deeper you go, the more likely you are to find better weapons either from drops by defeated monsters or inside treasure chests. And don't forget, the Adventurer's Guild sells some pretty solid weapons too once you've proven your monster-fighting mettle!
