You can get avatars by opening stars (capsules) that you find around the different worlds in the game. Use Yen to buy them and hope for some luck!

To score avatars, you'll need to defeat enemies for Yen, then spend that Yen on stars in the various worlds. Stay persistent and keep grinding!
