Charizard isn't a standalone character in Ultimate. You gotta use Pokémon Trainer and switch to Charizard with the down special move.
In Super Smash Bros Ultimate, you can't choose Charizard separately. He's one of the three Pokémon you can switch between as Pokémon Trainer. Just pick Pokémon Trainer and press down special to switch to Charizard.
Charizard is part of the Pokémon Trainer character in Smash Ultimate, so just select Pokémon Trainer and switch to Charizard during the battle!
