You have to breed a Kubrow or Kavat and then use an imprinting template on them. Easy peasy!
Make sure you have an Incubator Power Core installed! Then, head to the 'Incubator' and select 'Genetic Tools' to create those imprints.
Just use the 'Genetic Tools' option in the 'Incubator' segment of your ship.
