Getting gray bricks in Terraria is super easy! Just mine some stone blocks, which you can find pretty much anywhere underground or near the surface. Then, head over to a Furnace and use the stone blocks to craft the gray bricks. You'll need two stone blocks for every gray brick you want to make. Happy building!

Just mine stone and craft them at a furnace. Seriously, it's that simple.

Don't waste time on gray bricks when there are cooler blocks to use for building. But yeah, if you must, stone blocks + furnace = gray bricks.
