Alright, here's how you do it: 1) Go to the Xbox Store. 2) Search for 'Developer mode activation' and install it. 3) Follow the prompts to activate developer mode (you'll need to register as a developer, which has a small fee). 4) Once in developer mode, download RetroArch from the RetroArch website and install it via a USB drive on your Xbox. Boom, retro gaming heaven!

You can try sideloading it using the Dev Mode. You pay $19 for the developer registration and follow instructions on the official Xbox website.

Honestly, the easiest way is through Retail Mode: 1) Go to the Microsoft Edge browser on your Xbox. 2) Visit the RetroArch website and download the UWP version. 3) After downloading, follow the prompts to install. No developer mode needed, but it may not be as stable.

From my experience, it's a bit of a hassle compared to other platforms, but it's worth it for the nostalgia. Developer mode worked smoothly for me.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
